Brilliant Future. In 2016, UC Irvine released a bold new strategic plan to build on our campus strengths and realize our brilliant future. The plan was developed over many months of campus consultation and is based on four pillars. We remain committed to the overarching vision of this strategic plan. Over the past seven years, many of the specific goals outlined within these pillars have been accomplished , and many strategies relevant at that time require adjustment and refocus in light of new circumstances and opportunities. Consequently, in 2022, Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Hal Stern charged a group of faculty and administrators from across the campus with refreshing our strategic plan in a way that will guide the campus in making strategic investments of time and resources over the next five years.
